Eminent scientist Prof. Dr. Ikram-ul-Haq, in recognition of his outstanding services in research and pedagogy spanned over 35 years, was appointed as Professor Emeritus in 2015 and Distinguish National Professor in 2017 by the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan. He has been persistently engaged in pedagogy after completing post-doctoral study in Cornell University, New York, USA as a Fulbright Scholar. He established a well-equipped Institute of Industrial Biotechnology (IIB) in GCU Lahore. In addition to publishing 392 research papers with an impact factor of 363.997, cited by 4855 scientists globally with h-index of 34, he has ten registered national patents and also filed six other patents for industrially important enzymes. He has developed several products for industrial applications in the sectors of bioenergy, poultry feed, textile, pharmaceutical and currently working successfully on antibiotics alternative development through essential oils based nanoemulsions and essential oils based biofilms for green active packaging of meat, vegetables and fruits. He has successfully completed 17 research projects, sponsored by various national research organizations such as PSF, PAEC, HEC, GCU & Ministry of Science and Technology and currently heading two research project sponsored by Pakistan Academy of Science and Pakistan Science Foundation. He has supervised 26 Ph.D, 111 M.Phil, 105 M.Sc. and 42 B.Sc. students in their research dissertations. He has served on the Editorial and Advisory Boards and as referee in different well-reputed national and international research journals. He has served as President and General Secretary of Pakistan Botanical Society and is currently serving as President of Pakistan Botanical Society. He has been serving as General Secretary of Pakistan Biological Society and President of FABA (Federation of Asian Biotech Associations) Pakistan chapter. Besides this, he is member of Advisory boards, selection committees, Boards of Directors of many well reputed national institutes. The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan awarded him the Best University Teacher Award for the year 2002. In recognition of his invaluable services in the field of science and technology, the Government of Pakistan conferred upon him Sitara-i-Imtiaz in 2005. Pakistan Council for Science & Technology awarded him with Research productivity award for the years 2008-09, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2016. He was elected fellow of the Pakistan Academy of Sciences in 2006 and appointed on key offices/posts of various national and international professional bodies. He was awarded with two Asia’s B-School Awards for outstanding contribution to education by CMO Asia Singapore in 2011 and Education Leadership Award by the World Marketing Summit Malaysia in 2013. He has won Dr. Z. A. Hashmi R&D Gold Medal in 2012 for the most productive principal investigator of science and technology projects funded by PSF during past one decade (1997-2007). In 2016, Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization in recognition of his service for Biology in the Islamic world declared him as ISESCO laureate. He has won technology awards of 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 in Invention to Innovation summits. He has also won SATHA innovation award in 2017 by South Asia Triple Helix Association Pakistan. He was also conferred upon with Life Time Achievement Award by Pakistan Botanical Society in 2017. Recently, he has established a Business Incubation Centre in 2019 at Government College University Lahore in collaboration with Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.

Prof. Lim Yang Mooi is the Head of Programme for Postgraduate Degree Programmes, Chairperson for Centre for Cancer Research, and Chairperson for the Postgraduate Labora-tory Management Committee, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR). She obtained her first degree in Biotechnology and Doctor of Phi-losophy in Animal Biotechnology from Universiti Putra Malaysia in 1997 and 2001, re-spectively. She is greatly involved in plant-based drug discovery and cancer chemopre-vention research. Her current research work is focused to study the mechanism of actions of the identified phytochemicals in regulating dysfunctional cancer signaling pathways, cancer immuno-modulation, to reveal the novel proteins and genes that are regulated by the active phytochemicals and to explore the anti-cancer properties of an ancient prescrip-tion of Chinese medicine in regulating global protein expression in cancer cells, as well as to investigate the medicinal values of edible bird’s nest. She was awarded the UTAR Re-search Excellent Award in 2011. The novel findings of her research have enabled her to win 19 research awards nationally and internationally.

Judith Chukwuebinim OKOLO is an Assistant Chief Scientific Officer in the Biosafety and Risk Management (BRM) unit, of Environmental Biotechnology Department, National Biotechnology Development Agency, Abuja Nigeria. She obtained her B.Sc (Food Science and Technology) at Ebonyi State University, M.ENG (Agricultural and Bioresource Engineering) at Federal University of Technology, Minna and presently a Doctoral Student at Michael Okpara University of Agricul-ture Umudike, Nigeria. She is a Certified Biorisk Management Professional of the International Federation of Biological Safety Associations (IFBA) and has Mentored Interns, youth Corp mem-bers and students on biosafety. Judith Okolo was among the 2022 cohorts of Biosecurity Diploma-cy workshop for young scientists from Global South organized by United Nations Office for Dis-armament Affairs (UNODA). She serves as a member of the IFBA Equity- Focused Coordinating Committee (IFBA ECC). Judith Okolo specializes in food safety and she is passionate in promot-ing biosafety, biosecurity, and food nutrition security which all links to global health. She has au-thored and co-authored several research papers including conference proceedings and book chap-ters. She is a fellow of the International Association of Mentors and Quality Improvement Experts (IAMQiE) and a member of Global Health Security Network (GHSN), African Society of Labora-tory Medicine (ASLM), Nigeria Biological Safety Association (NiBSA), Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD), Nigeria Institute of Food Science and Technology (NIFST), Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and Biotechnology Society of Nigeria (BSN). Judith Chukwuebinim OKOLO currently serves as a Country Coordinator, Federation of Asian Bi-otech Associations (FABA), Nigerian Chapter.

Dr. Abidur Rahman currently works at the Department of Plant Bio Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture, Iwate University, Japan and at Department of Plant Sciences, College of Agriculture and Bioresources, University of Saskatchewan, Canada. His group 's research work is focused on hormonal regulation of plant development at both optimal and stressed conditions, understanding the role of actin in plant development, and the mechanism of selective herbicidal action of auxinic herbicides. In addition, the group is also focused on understanding the root transport mechanism of several metals. He serves as Associate Editor of Plant Cell Biology Section of Frontiers in Plant Science and as editorial member of Journal of Plant Growth Regulation and PLOS ONE. Dr. Ramaiah Itumalla, a teacher by choice is currently working as an Assistant Professor in Depart-ment of Health Management, University of Hail, Ministry of Education, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 2016 to till date. He holds an additional responsibility as the Coordinator of Quality and De-velopment at the Department level and the Controller of Examinations in the College of Public Health and Health Informatics of the University. Prior to his international assignments, Dr. Ramaiah served as an Assistant Professor at Apollo Institute of Hospital Administration, HYD (Af-filiated to Osmania University).

Dr. Ramaiah is a recipient of two Achievers Awards and the University Medal during MBA (HC& HM) from School of Management Studies, University of Hyderabad,. He has completed his Ph.D. under the able guidance of Prof. GVRK Acharyulu and Prof. B. Raja Shekhar on the topic entitled “Evaluation of Service Quality Management in Indian Hospitals” and proposed the ‘HOSPI-TALQUAL’ a tool to measure the inpatient service quality in hospitals. Dr. Ramaiah cleared the UGC – NET thrice. He is the first Post- Doctoral Scholar at SMS, UoH with UGC-Dr. Sarvepally Radhakrishnan PDF and he is the recipient of UGC Fellowship.

Dr. Ramaiah Itumalla, one of the healthcare experts with more than eight years of teaching and re-search experience. He has presented many research papers in national and international Conferences (Singapore, Thailand and Saudi Arabia) and published more than 20 papers in national and interna-tional journals indexed by SCOPUS, Web of Science. He has completed two projects, which were sponsored by the Deanship of Research, University of Hail, Ministry of Education, Saudi Arabia. His area of interests includes Health Policy, Healthcare Quality, Healthcare Technology, Global Health and General Management.
